The full slate of educational sessions has been selected for the Shed Builder Expo in Knoxville.

Each morning, Sept. 27-28, will feature six seminars from 8-10 a.m., before the trade show floor opens.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2023

A Sustainable Workforce/Employee Compensation 

Presented by John Zook, Gehman Accounting 

During the seminar, Zook will look at the question, “Why would someone want to work at your company?” Points discussed will include company culture, percentage base pay vs. hourly pay, attracting and retaining quality employees, and incentive pay plan.

Presented by Charles Hutchins, Shed Coach/Shed-N-Carport Pro

In this session, Hutchins will share how to increase sales by tracking your leads, properly greeting your customers, asking for the sale, developing rapport, and customer follow-up. Also, learn money-making activities.

Get a Grip on Your Business

Presented by Steve Byler, Backyard Leasing/Ulrich Lifestyle 

Many people start their own business with the dream of having some autonomy and independence for themselves and their families. A few years in, they discover that the business is dictating their lives and they find themselves at a loss for how to manage the gripping demands of entrepreneurship. In this session, we will provide an overview of a process for how to recover control of your business and your life.
